An attack of asthma typically occurs when bronchial tubes are sensitised to allergenic dust, most likely generated by the house dust mite. Vast numbers of these mites live in mattresses and pillows. Traditional bedding materials are made from air barrier materials where the only escape of air can occur through stitching of closures, expelling dust into the surrounding atmosphere.
Allershield® and Allershield® Plus allow the air to escape, but contains the dust particles, resulting in a cleaner environment.
Allershield® Plus has been designed to offer enhanced protection against house dust mites with the inclusion of an antimicrobial additive.
