Walling
Don & Low produce a number of high performance Daltex® breather membranes for wall construction.
Breather membranes
Breather membranes have a vapour resistance less than 0.6 MNs/g (Sd< 0.12m). These are installed on the outside of the frame and sheathing in timber and steel framed walls. In framed construction the breather membrane protects the frame and any sheathing from water that may penetrate the external cladding and also reduces infiltration of air into the wall.
Don & Low’s breather Daltex® FrameTX® Thermo membrane has the additional advantage of a reflective finish which contributes to a reduced heat loss through the framed wall.
Don & Low produce the following high performance breather membranes specific to walling:
- Daltex® FrameTX®
- Daltex® FrameTX® Maxi
- Daltex® FrameTX® Thermo
Don & Low also produce a number of roofing membranes that are also certified for walling:
- Daltex® RoofTX®
- Daltex® RoofTX® Ultra
- Daltex® RoofTX® Optima
- Daltex® RoofTX® Maxi
- Daltex® RoofTX® Extra
Industrial Cladding
Cladding membranes have a vapour resistance less than 0.6 MNs/g (Sd< 0.12m). They are used as an underlay for lightweight industrial roofing systems, and as an industrial walling membrane to protect the frame and any sheathing from water that may penetrate the external cladding.
Don & Low produce the following Industrial Cladding membrane:
- Daltex® MultiTX® Clad
Vapour control layers
A high resistance (vapour impermeable) membrane, having a vapour resistance at least 10MNs/g (Sd > 2) which is placed on the warm side of the construction, i.e. inside the thermal insulation in cold climates. A VCL should extend over the whole area of the element into which it is incorporated and must be integrated with and sealed to adjoining elements, including adjoining VCL’s, up-stands, abutments and glazing systems.
Don & Low produce the following VCL:
- Daltex® MultiTX® Control
