Don & Low Floorcoverings
Don & Low are one of the largest manufacturers of woven polypropylene primary and secondary backings for tufted carpets.
Donbac® is widely recognised as a high quality primary backing with a high 124 end tape density. This increased warp density reduces needle deflection, improves dimensional stability and ensures accurate tuft placement. Don & Low also produce a 94 end tape density UV stabilised product for use as an artificial grass backing.
The Company is currently developing a primary backing to offer greater stability in carpet and artificial grass applications.
The Lobac® range of polypropylene secondary backings utilises an air texturised multifilament yarn, which increases bulk and improves pre coat absorption. This is a high quality alternative to traditional jute secondary backing available in white or jute. Coloured warp designs can be made to order.
All backings are available in a variety of fabric widths and weft shottings.
